Remote traders pay $200 per month, fully rebated on the 3rd working day as long as they trade a minimal 200K shares/mo. (average is around 600k-1mil or so). $15-$100K for account funding. Exchange fees, NASD (for Series 7 exam), and a couple of other misc. fees add up to around $900 or so to join. Our traders keep 100% of their profits, so no "freebies" guys (but we do have affiliates that may sponsor "low cash" traders in their offices, you can email me if you like to. donbright@brighttrading.net). The NYSE has eliminated "stop limit" orders, only "stop orders". We rarely use hard stops, preferring to use alerts. We have very few pure "scalpers" left (althoug we all "scalp" once in a while) - preferring longer term techniques combined with our automated programs, etc. If you want more details, send an email, don't like to take up tooooo much space here on ET, LOL. donbright@brighttrading.net Don
What happened to the post on this thread about a lawsuit involving Bright Trading? Why was it deleted? Care to comment on the lawsuit, Don? Not trying to stir anything up, just curious as to what it was all about. Thanks.
Another clearing firm owed us some money, didn't pay, settled in arbitration, they paid, all is good. We've had a couple of filings over the years (disgruntled types) - we have always prevailed. Nothing of any consequence. Don
got it mr don. thanks for answer. i'll talk to you soon. i figured it would be that much, just wanted to confirm.
I have not traded with Bright but I was grateful for Don's willingness to answer a number of questions I had last year -- even concerning a unique dual licensing issue -- he actually took the time to put me in touch with someone from his compliance department to discuss the details. In any event, everyone has to decide for themselves whether prop is the right move and then whether Bright is the right fit, but Don will be more than willing to answer your questions directly and then you can decide.
Chicago is having a bit of a resurgence, but still a small group of 10 or so ( a few more coming in soon). Don

Hey Mr Don I am wondering how much monthly fees are on average with your firm. I am debating on joining your firm as I finally filled out your questionnaire on your website or to trade with full $25k with my brokerage firm. Can I deposit $10k instead of $15k? I will be mainly trading 500 to 1000 shares with lots of intraday swing trades and reversal trades. Thanks.
