Remember those stupid Frenchies?

  1. How they tried to warn us that attacking Iraq was a bad idea? And we called them cowards and worse, and renamed French Fries to Freedom Fries, and all that other stuff?

Boy, are they stupid. What do they know?
  2. I agree. France thought that Al Qaeda would leave them alone because France did everything possible to stay out of the Iraq war.

Algeria Islamists join terror fold, stirring worries

PARIS -- Al Qaeda has for the first time announced a union with an Algerian insurgent group that has designated France as an enemy, saying they will act together against French interests.....

France's leaders have repeatedly warned that the decision not to join the US-led war in Iraq would not shield the country from Islamic terrorism....
  3. The Frogs didn't oppose removing Saddam for military reasons, they opposed it because of the illegal transactions they were carrying out with the Iraqi Government. You have to love the French they vote to boycott in the UN, and then funnel money for oil. Chirac and the rest of his high minded socialists should be condemned for their dangerous duplicity. Do you ever even watch the news ?
  4. No. I don't watch TV.
  5. Hey, it was an war to help the defense contractors and the likes of Haliburton who thrive and multiply under the guise of no bid contracts which increase dramatically during war. The French probably did not like the fact that their little sweet deal with saddam will be gone and that is why they complained. Anyway, as things stand right now, the French has the right to say, "Gee wiz... told ya so". Of course the moronic neocons will be screaming trying to distract your attention from the point in hand, but what else can be expected from the members of the shallow end of the gene pool?
  6. Some more interesting reasons why France stayed out of the war:

Facts on Who Benefits From Keeping Saddam Hussein In Power

France's largest oil company, Total Fina Elf, has negotiated extensive oil contracts to develop the Majnoon and Nahr Umar oil fields in southern Iraq. Both the Majnoon and Nahr Umar fields are estimated to contain as much as 25 percent of the country's oil reserves. The two fields purportedly contain an estimated 26 billion barrels of oil.[4] In 2002, the non-war price per barrel of oil was $25. Based on that average these two fields have the potential to provide a gross return near $650 billion.(About $1.3 Trillion now)

    # France controls over 22.5 percent of Iraq's imports.[1] French total trade with Iraq under the oil-for-food program is the third largest, totaling $3.1 billion since 1996, according to the United Nations.[2]

    # In 2001 France became Iraq's largest European trading partner. Roughly 60 French companies did an estimated $1.5 billion in trade with Baghdad in 2001 under the U.N. oil-for-food program.[3]

    # France's Alcatel company, a major telecom firm, is negotiating a $76 million contract to rehabilitate Iraq's telephone system.[5]

    # In 2001 French carmaker Renault SA sold $75 million worth of farming equipment to Iraq.[6]

More objections have been lodged against French export contracts with Iraq than any other exporting country under the oil-for-food program, according to a report published by the London Times. In addition French companies have signed contracts with Iraq worth more than $150 million that are suspected of being linked to its military operations.[7] Some of the goods offered by French companies to Iraq, detailed by UN documents, include refrigerated trucks that can be used as storage facilities and mobile laboratories for biological weapons.
Iraq owes France an estimated $6 billion in foreign debt accrued from arms sales in the 1970s and '80s.[8]
  7. Do you lefties actually believe the use of the neocon makes you look intelligent........
  8. do you neocons believe that you calling anyone who criticizes you as lefty isn't reflective of your low self esteem?
  9. Low self esteem, what are you a Junior High Guidance Counselor.
  10. Oh! cut low!
