Religion is a hypothesis.

  1. Much has been made of evidence, or lack thereof to either prove or disprove the existence of a Creator. Allow me to provide an argument that proposes "evidence" is not the be all and end all of the discussion. I cannot do this without first asking you to watch a segment of the youtube link which I'll provide. It is a lecture given by Lawrence Krauss, a well known atheist and scientist. One for which I have a great deal of respect. You should really watch the entire video if you have time, but for this argument one only need watch a 3 minute segment which starts at minute 51:00 to about 54:00. Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ImvlS8PLIo

Hopefully you watched it. If you did then you now know that what people will see from our vantage point in the Universe will be very different from what we see now. In a nutshell, they will see nothing outside of our own galaxy. They will have no "evidence" that a Big Bang ever occurred, or that any other Galaxy ever existed other than our own. As the scientists of the future propose that things used to be different, they will have no evidence of that. Surely, skeptics of the future will say, where's your evidence? Scientists of the future will be able to produce nothing but ancient history which will surely be distorted by time. The universe we are absolutely certain exists today will be nothing more than legend.
So what's my point? Today's evidence is tomorrows conjecture and vice verse. Also, I would theorize that beings in the future will actually be more ignorant of the facts than we are now, which makes for a scary kind of place considering just how goofy we are at this point in time. At the end of the day it's easy enough to suspect that we will never find the answer, and perhaps we're not supposed too. Quite humbling, as Dr. Krauss would agree.

  4. Who hears the noise in the forest in the tree falls and no one is there to hear it?

    Answer, no one...

...and that means the tree falling didn't make a noise?

I would ask you not to play dumb, but clearly you have no option but to be what you are...

As a stupid person, you routinely confuse your own stupidity as confusion...

You are not confused, you are just stupid.

  6. Okay, but just because no one heard any noise doesn't mean that a tree necessarily fell.

  7. only 'man' would call it "noise". so, if a tree falls there is no "noise" unless someone is there to interpret it as such. ps this isn't even "V2" rocket science :D
