  2. thats exactly what we have. you are free to believe whatever you want to in your homes and churches. but you can not come into the public arena and promote superstition as truth unchallenged.
how do you propose we have a sane rational discussion with a person who insists an invisible man in the sky picked up an hand full of dirt and made man from it? [/B][/QUOTE]

And you cannot come into the public arena and promote theory as truth unchallenged.
The first step towards a sane, rational discussion would be to take a less insulting attitude towards the beliefs of others. Otherwise we quickly fall into you calling God an invisible man in the sky and me calling your theories junk science promoted by lazy ass people whom are afraid to address the obvious, which is, you can't get something living from a dead nothing.

oh but i can because i have the evidence on my side. i find it hard to believe that people like you cant tell the difference between emotion and evidence.
you are free to challenge anything our scientific knowledge tells us but you must do it with better evidence and not emotional bs.

Well at least there is something almost intelligent being added to this otherwise absurd thread.

Mathematics is an invention of man, just as typing is an invention of man. It is not a discovery, but to say so is less of a transgression than equating mathematics with science, which -- shudder-- will make a theoretical mathematician's skin crawl. Mathematics is NOT science, but rather a tool used by scientists. If you go and talk to a pure mathematician, a theorist, you will find that they usually have no interest in applications, but seldom object if someone else applies their mathematics, so long as they don't have to do it themselves.

  10. The one salient feature of matter discovered by physicists is that it's a collection of ever smaller Chinese puzzle boxes consisting of empty space, wrapping other chinese puzzle boxes consisting of empty space.

Pretty soon maybe they will discover nothing itself at LHC .
