REIT Traders

  1. I'm a long-time trader of REITs and related stocks, mostly in the U.S. but recently transitioning to global. I traded REITs for about 10 years for various hedge funds in the 1998-2008 period before moving on to the private side. Now working to get back in the game. If you trade REITs or are interested in the sector, please hit me up.

  2. What kind of trading?

  3. It's a mix of deep value and opportunistic. On deep value, I look for unwarranted discounts to NAV with catalysts or sufficient yield to be paid to wait. Timeframe is 3-12 months. Opportunistic will include oversold/overbought mean reversion, merger arb, activist situations/reviews of strategic alternatives or other event driven situations. Also looking to mix in some global macro positions, such as gping long Macau or the UK for example. But similar to the strategy I ran in my hedge fund days, its completely open - looking for opportunities anywhere as long it involves real estate.
