there are only two types of people in the world - those who descended from man and those who ascended from apes - and its fun to watch them try to communicate.....hehehe
I don't have to search for 4 hours. I don't have to search at all. I just read the posts and I see someone in a glass house throwing stones ("what" rather than "want"). You shouldn't have brought it up in the first place since it was never relevant!!
No problem...i just wanna clarify whether or not we are gonna be using "Creator" and "God" synonymously..?
The fact that we are finite is understated above. In fact, our logic system is finite, and using language as pure logic is, I say again, to argue semantics (and it is arrogant). To say that God (if a god exists) is not all "knowing" because he doesn't know what I will do next is to play with the definitions of a language of communications of a finite collection of cells that uses 5 limited senses to perceive and interpret the universe! Just limiting the concept of a God being "all knowing" and omnipotent by playing with the definitions of our silly language is to define and inherently limit this potential God by our infitessmal (sp?) communication structure!
FACT: we ALL came from ape-like animals. period. before someone refutes this with their religious argument, UNDERSTAND THIS POINT: there is an ABUNDANCE of evidence suggesting my position. on planet earth, we use scientific methods to establish fact from fiction. at the current moment, evolution is supported by overwhelming evidence. just because you insist on believing the bible, it DOES NOT mean evolution is incorrect - YOU'RE INCORRECT. the bible's stance IS NOT supported by evidence. when you weigh evolution vs. adam & eve nonsense, the SCALE GOES OFF THE HOOK in favor of evolution. evolution is fact, the bible is fiction. i don't expect you all to accept evolution right away. whenever there is a new discovery, a minority believes it, then over time, it spreads to the majority. in a few hundred years you bible people will be laughed at like the former believers of the greek gods. people like me are the pioneers of this issue. you all are just late to the party. just like buying the top of a rally.....the smart guys were in a long time ago.
You are measuring most everything against the bible and "Christianity," which is not what I (or most people here I think) are using as the basis for our arguments.
IMissed THe Boat the main point is "what should man believe"? you can call it all semantics, you can bemoan our pitiful 5 senses and all the other shit you talk...at the end of the day man has a choice... what should man believe? that is really what is at the heart of the debate.. look, rather than posting all this.. just join me and aphie in our debate, i will be happy to take on all comers...let's just keep the arguments succinct and civil ... so, define for me whether or not we will be using "God" and "Creator" synonymously...and i'll post my opening argument on whatever people here agree the topic should be..
