  2. Gekko, don't provide these easy escapes for darkhorse. look at the glee with which he seizes upon any chance to blur the issue..

dark, you are so wrong in this post it's not funny...
yeah, it might have taken scientists a while to come to grips with relativity...but guess what..they did. The initial scrutiny is only part of the scientific process. It is NATURAL, it is the RIGHT THING to try and falsify a scientific theory...
Einstein didn't turn around and say to scientists opposed to his views "look it's all multivariate complexity ...you just don't get it..it's too complex to explain to you", he provided them with rational evidence...which successfully defended his position, to the point where relativity became widely accepted..

religion has had hundreds of years to prove itself...IT HAS NOT EVEN SOUGHT TO DO SO! it's only recently, since atheists could freely cut down religious garbage that theists have scrambled to invent ever more outrageous theories to prove god's existance...
but they keep gettting cut down..

dude, keep living in dream world..you have nothing

  3. oh wait, one last thing i forgot to ask:

Dan if proof is always 'for all' or 'not at all', please explain how this situation can exist:

Two hedge fund managers of roughly equal skill, with the same basic methodogies, access to the same information sources and the same data sets, come to directly opposite conclusions regarding variable XYZ of the macroeconomic outlook.

    This happens all the time.

If proof for one is proof for all as you say, how is that possible?

Why should truth be dependent on consensus? Is not truth wholly INdependent of consensus? Hmmm.

You like smart economic guys like Sowell, what say you of Sowell's mentor Milton Friedman's take:

"One man and the truth is a majority."
    -Milton Friedman

p.s. lovely pictures Gekko, maybe you could get a draw program going and put a mustache and glasses on the pope, that would take your line of reasoning to the next level brudda

  8. Bravo. EXACTLY Dan!

Dark isnt even attempting to be like Einstein and
present his theory, then defend it until
    it is accepted.

Instead, we get excuses about how you cant do
    this on a message board.

If email and message boards were around, I bet
Einstein WOULD have published findings/theories and
defended them in this new medium.

I have no problems with defending my position
on a message board. In fact, its better than
a verbal conversation since you have time
to organize your thoughts and to analyze your
    opponents postings.

But Dark is a special case or something.
He apparently lacks the ability to present
his views on a message board.

    peace
