Let me give it to you so that there are no more half pages of diatribe again: Axiom: Nitro does not belive in the Biblical God - therefore, when Nitro speaks of GOD (note I use GOD for that which I believe in, and God for the Biblical God) he must be talking about SOMETHING else - what is that? Nitro does not know because he believes that his current puny brain is incapable of DEFINING it let alone explaining it. Now: Theorem 1) Nitro does not believe in the biblical God. Therorem 2) Proving the existence of GOD or _ASKING_ for EVIDENCE for the existence of GOD shows a lack of understanding of the definition above - therefore do not even suggest that Nitro belives in a supernatural being - even Nitro does not know what _FORM_ GOD takes. Theorem 3) GOD is not invented by Nitro for any reason other than he marvels at the unbelievable beauty and subtlety of the Universe - Nitro does not debate that the Biblical God may be invented by people that are in hurt or in deep need. Nitro has ENOURMOUS sympathy for those people and will even associate his GOD with those people's God - he sees no harm in that - life is not about winning a debate when it doesn't matter. I agree with most of what you said, there is just one little thing I'd like to point out. This "GOD" you believe in...you are agreeing that you cannot define him? You say that the only reason you believe that some kind of god exists is because you "marvel at the unbelievable beauty and subtlety of the universe"? firstly, is the majesty of the universe sufficient reason for us to assume that there is some kind of god out there? I don't think so. Secondly, if you agree that you cannot define your god, then don't you understand that you are maintaining a completely irrational position? To believe in something you can't define is akin to believing in nothing in particular.. This isn't really meant to be an attack, nitro, i just want to point out to you the nature of your beliefs.
