  2. awww cmon can't you see that religion and god like santee klaus was invented to
manipulate and control you. one invented to exact control over a child and the other to do the same for adults
    with child-like minds.

look at it this way, if you never heard of this creator and his quite extraordinary powers taking away a
life-time of brainwashing and conditioning, would you belief this grand story if today was the
first it was ever told to you? i think not unless you had a predisposition to schizophrenia or
mental retardation or stupidity. you would run away in laughter upon hearing this for the first time.

no one in their right mind would embrace such obvious silliness. but that is not the case, all this
preconditioning on tv and from friends and relatives etc has left its indelible mark on your mind.
(and don't try to tell me that you weren't raised with religious precepts because we are all
exposed to this nonsense constantly thru many many varied sources).

i have a skeptical mind. my grandfather would say "i don't care what it is, i don't believe in it".
my mind works in this way too. in other words, i don't believe in anything without compelling evidence. there are too many plausible natural explanations
to embrace, we don't need to construct supernatural boogie men.

The theists have put up zero resistence.
They have failed to respond to my questions,
to the contradictions I pointed out.

I'm so crushed. What will I do. What will I do.

  6. good post FP/SE (the last long one), i couldn't agree more. even i was subjected to the "preconditioning" at an early age. however, my father allowed me to break away from it before it took over. being a science teacher, i believe he knew better. it truly is one of the great things i thank him for.

you absolutely nailed it.. the pressure from friends and family at an early age is overwhelming. that is why guys like o'reilly and darkhorse, while intelligent, still will not let it go. it is ingrained in them. look at the suicide bombers in palestine. what age are they starting to brainwash them at?

as i like to put it...dogs that get beat their whole lives will be vicious as adults...and it's tough to change them.

the religious people will not like to read what i just said, but i wouldn't either if it happened to me.

OK, there is plenty of historical documentation (outside of the Bible) as to the miracles Jesus performed, his grave stone being rolled away etc etc. I realize you will find "contradictions" (axeman's term) and not accept it as "proof" but hey, at least I tried. So in this debate only us believers have to come up with "proof" and you need no proof for your ascertations?

  9. this is going to open a can of worms. would you call me a murderer because there's no proof i'm not one? the onus is on you, my friend. i'm not the one claiming i know who created the universe. why should i have to debunk your claims?

a few years ago when they found those rocks allegedly from mars with the little microscopic wormlike things in them. it was debated if the rocks were really from mars, and if the bugs in them were from mars or earth. before we could claim, "we found aliens!" i remember hearing someone on tv make the following statement..and it is so true.

    EXTRAORDINARY CLAIMS REQUIRE EXTRAORDINARY EVIDENCE.

you religous people have not passed the test, i'm sorry.

  10. Carl Sagan originally said this.
    So very true.

I can not think of a claim greator than a god
who created everything, knows everything, and
is all powerful. (But he still wants your money, lol )

Yet theists expect us to take a cult book
    as the ultimate evidence, containing
stories borrowed from previous religions, and without
even being sure who the authors were. Ha! :D

    Not even close.
