Hmmmmmmmmmm, I don't know if I want anyone "growing" my dick size - what if something goes wrong in the test tube, like they add too many genes or something and I come out with a two footer and have to use a sheath? [probably a tall sock.] Or worse, what happens if I come out with a 5/8" incher? No thanks...I would rather have God be in charge of this... too important to get wrong... nitro
After reading the past 6-7 posts, I now understand who I'm dealing with. You are too caught up in your own sin to see the truth. Once again, self justification. Better hope you're right...
Hey STU, you are a freaking moron!! I can't stand people who come into the middle of a conversation, have no fucking clue what's going on, and then jump in after leaping to stupid conclusions that are actually the opposite of reality. I never took a stand on religion one way or the other. For the most part, I have been critical of religious intolerance that has occurred here and in history. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not going to question the many misinformed people who say that religion has been THE SOLE CAUSE of all oppression and genocide. That is just ignorant, especially since, as I said, many of the worst atrocities occurred where no religion existed. As far as my views you idiot, I do not believe in the bible literally, I am agnostic on God and the after life. However, there is no more proof against an afterlife as there is against there not being one. It is totally unprovable. And the one thing that all intelligent people should accept is that we are extremely insignificant, finite beings with a very limited ability to understand anything. We don't even know if what we know to be true is reality at all, or rather our senses playing tricks on us. All that we know is that we think and that we exist. Our senses merely interpret the universe through our little mechanisms, which tell us if something is supposedly a certain color, smoothness, etc. It doesn't mean in the actual universe that the object exists, or that it even is what we perceive. And even if our perceptions are accurate to the actual universe (a possibility of which would require as a prerequisite that someone isn't crazy), we have but 5 senses. That and our finite brains limit what we can understand about a universe that may be but one of many universes and many different physics. Ultimately, we can strive to know all we can, but it is ridiculously arrogant to think that we ever will or can fully understand the entire complete reality of the universe(s).
This is a very rational point of view, regardless of whether someone is religious, spiritual or atheist. Just as the irrational religious people on this board (such as Thunderdolt) push a view without ever offering one good piece of discourse, so too a couple of people here who are atheist are being rude and offering nothing to the conversation. Being religious does not make someone inherently irrational or ignorant, just as being atheist does neither. With that in mind, people should listen before they attack someone to see whether the person is offering anything substantive, rather than just offering knee jerk reactions.
He was judging the fact that you were so quick to attack him when anyone here, even someone as ignorant and irrational as Thunderdolt, could see that he was kidding and being sarcastic. It would make anyone wonder where the hell you live and whether you know what's going on enough to recognize as obvious a piece of satire as any one could possibly give!!
Imissedtheboat, Boy did you ever. You wrote: >Just as the irrational religious people on this board (such as Thunderdolt) push a view without ever offering one good piece of discourse, so too a couple of people...< I've given much discourse--just maybe you didn't like how it read. The truth hurts.
