Proof: the cogency of evidence that compels acceptance by the mind of a truth or a fact. : something that induces certainty or establishes validity. http://www.fatima.org/story1.html http://www.tlig.org/ http://www.garabandalny.com/garabandal.html A few excerpts from "True Life in God": "Vassula all I want is Love. Glory be to God for teaching those things to mere children and hiding them from the learned and wise" "I have said that the wise will listen and listen and not understand, see and see again, but not perceive; for their hearts have grown coarse; they have closed their ears and shut their eyes" "But these things are hidden from the learned and the wise and are revealed to mere children; the Kingdom of Heaven is revealed to the simple and the humble." "I will end up My Message by reminding you that you were created out of love for Love, to love your Creator, and that everything that was made to exist is made by Him and for Him; so praise Him and give glory to the One Who created you" Jesus means Saviour
WOW samtrader---- Where do I get my membership card?? I would like to join the flat earth society with you!!
I made this point earlier. However, please don't mix up the logic. The fact that massacres and oppression have happened in the name of religion does not mean that it ONLY happens in the name of religion. The same have occurred where religion was absent (Soviet Union for example).
This is always funny and stupid. Although Axeman is, according to him, older than Thunderdolt (33), it doesn't matter. Ignorance and stupidity know no age. Some of the brightest mathematicians, lawyers, scientists, debaters, etc are in their 20s. Indeed, the field medal for mathematicians is given to those who have accomplished the most before age 40, because this is when most of the greatest work is done by great mathematicians. I argued with some nice but ignorant and misguided older people on some political issues in my apt building. They wouldn't let me talk, because every time I did, I showed how they were factually and logically mistaken. Then the elder lady said that I should accept her political views because of her age. Why would I accept someone's view on faith (where have I heard that before?) alone, especially when they've only proven that they are not capable of advanced reasoning and critical thinking?
I knew that..... I was just testing. Of course I meant to refer to my 6ltr v12 Leer Limousine. Yes rs7 and too much intolerance ..... no argument on this one, religion causes most of it. It's Intriguing how the proponents of a belief based upon mythological abstracts choose names like: Long-Way-To-Go I Missed Boat I think both those names are ironically apt and this one too axeman: Top marks in class today for excellent presentation and first class rationality. Hell's teeth, this is such a good question :
Excerpt from George Carlin on Religion. âWhen it comes to bullshit, big-time, major league bullshit, you have to stand in awe of the all-time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. No contest. No contest. Religion. Religion easily has the greatest bullshit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, you talk about a good bullshit story. Holy Shit!â
after reading all the religious posts in this thread, you can only come to one conclusion, and it is... ALL RELIGIONS ARE BS!
Now I don't think this is a fair statement at all. My religious convictions have shown me how to have great faith and understanding of His ways. For example, I love the idea of capital punishment, 'cause there ain't nothin' like a good Texas barbecue. I am opposed to abortion, 'cause my religious friends and advisors tell me it is wrong to take a life. I believe in our freedom of religion, but obviously the right religion deserves more freedom. And there can only be one right religion, obviously. Ever see a man get elected to my office without believing in the Lord Jesus Christ? Of course not! If God intended us not to have a Christian president, he would have let Gore win the election to pave the way for Joe Lieberman. But it didn't happen. And maybe it was divine intervention that my brother was the governor of Florida at the time to assure this did not happen. We once tried having a Catholic president, but of course it didn't work out. Couldn't take the chance of the Pope running our protestant country. So God gave him just 3 years, then intervened. God bless you all, Dubya
I LOVE IT! I FREAKING LOVE!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! you have to admit this is all true. religion is opiate for the masses. gotta keep all the sheep in line can't have any free independent thinkers out there. everyone must get in line baaaaaa baaaa baaaaa ps printing this now so i can read it and have a good laugh every day.
