I would love to see you staring down the barrel of a shotgun; pissing in your pants trying to make peace with God...

you see; there are a ton of you guys in prison, they never believed for one moment in God ( or any God)...but now when they are down in the dumps; they do nothing but preach....You are cut from the same material I bet....u dont have to answer; just look in the mirror and answer to yourself...

  2. Cubano,

i don't know what you're trying to prove with that... men have acted out of fear since time immemorial - it doesn't prove a damn thing that just because someone got scared he tried to cover all the angles and make peace with a god....(which god does he choose anyway?)

Notice that I wrote any God......What I am trying to prove is that there would be a contradiction to the thousands of pages GG has written on his non-belief of any God.....Hey, I dont care wether he believes or not.....as long as when the time comes he doesnt come a praying.....

I see you done well for urself this week...dont forget I still have tonight...oh boy

  4. well congratulations aphie...finally, after a hundred pages a god believer gets back to what Faster posted right at the start of this thread: "when i need solace, i create god". simple.

of all the "things" man has constructed to help make his life on the planet earth more tolerable, NOTHING but NOTHING has backfired and caused more damage than religion.

"if it helps the healing of loss i'm all for it". i wouldn't expect an ignoramous like you to say anything else. obviously you have little to zero idea of the side-effects of religion or you wouldn't post such drivel.

and regarding your take on creation, you have totally proven yourself a hundred times over to be a dumb schmuk, unworthy of people's attention. your whole argument comes down to, "hmm, you know, this place sure looks like it's been created.."
well congratulations aphie,...that's exactly what mankind has thought since day one on earth....apparently you'd like to send us back to those primitive days. Do you really think that YOU are so smart that you know something that all those thousand and thousands of research scientists who have devoted their ENTIRE LIVES to understanding evolution, don't? your argument amounts to essentially zero, yet you post away like a raving lunatic thinking you've actually got something. do us all a favor and drop dead.

If you believe in evolution - you are religious.

  8. how so dinky? is a belief in evolution not substantiated by all of the available evidence? certainly it is. it's a belief, yes, but an entirely rational one.

religion on the other hand? it's not only blind faith without any rational proof or material evidence, it's blind faith DESPITE rational proof and material evidence TO THE CONTRARY!

Hmmm... rational proof and material evidence to the contrary? When I first started reading this thread I was looking for this. Personally, I think you and a few others presented a much stronger argument, but 200+ pages later I still haven't seen anything that proves the Bible or any other religion cannot be true. That wasn't my point, however, and I'll try to keep religion out of it.

My point is evolutionists may as well be worshipping Charles Darwin. I suppose there are some advantages to this. Scientific FACT, however? No way. Science facts are things that can be observed, tested, and demonstrated. The theory of evolution is far from being a scientific fact.

  10. well, according to the scientific community, the theory of evolution is considered just as valid as the theory of gravity or the germ theory of disease. it may not be incontrovertible, indisputable, pure, through and through FACT, but is scientifically valid nevertheless.

anyway, no point discussing with me. go and talk to some research scientists or university professors. (as opposed to listening to the rhetoric of your local church..)
