traderfut2000, I respect your opinion. I respect everyone's opinion ,apart from those who tell me how it will be, like thunderbolt. I think its fine that people see things in different ways have a different view on the world. Thank goodness for that. However religion imposes its views. Believe in it yes - affirm it as true and 'you must believe ' - a definite no to that. I assume you do not infer that I have no tolerance for others views. It is the religious insistence that has no room for my opinion that I abhor. goldenarm That's the 3rd time that link has been posted are you trying to make some point ?
I think we both agree.... The worst thing that can happen is force anybody.. Anyone must have the freedom to believe or not and to do whatever pleases him of course in complete respect of the others...
Yes of course you have the right to think irrationally, believe in ghosts and ghouls, reincarnation and even the good fairy if you like. You even have the right to be stupid, god knows there's plenty of firm evidence for this in the World today. However I have also have the right to tell you when you are thinking in a stupid manner.
No the difference is you are too readily deceived, too eager to satisfy your emotions at the expense of reason and you have a lousy crap detector
My thoughts are, The freedom to believe or not to do so is greatly marginalized in the way religion attempts to remain at the forefront of a culture. It ostracizes by its doctrines. It has hidden agendas which are "protected" by the assumed rightness. It threatens. It bullies. It patronizes and feigns honesty and concern. It insists it must be true. All mainstream religion fraudulently puts forward that it is only itself which can lead to the best things for mankind, whilst ruthlessly and contradictorily condemning others who have different deity requirements. That is oppressive and undesirable. In enlightened schools anywhere it should not be a part of the official curriculum. It should be an historical add-on for those who may wish to study it. It should be removed from governmental institution. It should be dropped as being the measure for what is right and truthful. People should and must practice religion if that's what they want, but it should not be imposed into culture. Other than that I must say I don't really give a flying sh*t about this religion crappola
Under an alias or Daniel... Hey man I am not rs7. You just have 13 posts and you keep on judging somebody you are not supposed to know so either you don't think since we never had a discussion together or you are coward hiding behind a borrowed alias... In either cases I don't have enough time to lose with "crap" posters like you If you have something to say SAY IT but accusations without solid arguments are just the weapons of the weak brains.
