I don't know how you guys get these links to go to the part of the page you want, but if you scroll down, you get to see murray's post and then mine.

Proof of miracles? Is a miracle an achievement of God? Or maybe such a "miracle" is actually substantiating evidence in support of evolution in that anything is possible:confused:

    Thank God I'm an atheist!

    Peace,

  2. hello,

have any of you atheists read the december 2002 issue of WIRED ?? it has an excellent treatise on science and religion titled "the new convergence". i would like to hear your opinions on this article. it has numerous quotes from nobel prize winning men of science---- for example chris de duve "there is no sense that atheism is enforced or established by science" your reasoned opinions after reading the article are much apprieciated.

    best,

  3. there is no god didn't you hear? he took the last train for the coast...and they were singing...

They were singing bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my chevy to the levee
    But the levee was dry
Them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die

I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music woudn't play

And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
    The day the music died

    And they were singing
    {Refrain}

They were singing bye-bye, Miss American Pie
Drove my chevy to the levee
    But the levee was dry
Them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die

THIS WILL BE THE DAY THAT I DIE!

  5. proof? is there any proof in this wired article? if not, i'm not too interested..

and which RELIGION is science converging with? remember, there's a massive gulf between the existance of a "god" and specific religion.

sounds like it's gonna be more hokey bullshit from the emotionally satisfying world of theism...

    YAWN.

  8. Interesting note Nitro. Is your 5 year old kid doing all right??? I learned to read when I was about 7.

RS7 quote-'' is a miracle an achievement from God ?''Some are some are not. A genuine [not counterfeit] miracle points to redemption, and the Word.

Mark Twain quote ''I dont have problems with the part of the Bible I don't understand; I have problems with the part I do understand.
