Fairly sure i havent seen one of these before-woohoo (err, the lunar eclipse-hasnt started here yet in oz) Anyone watching/already seen it?
I watched it this morning in Florida USA. I do not remember seeing a red color, but the moon appeared totally eclipsed. It was nice.
The moon was spectacular last night in the desert in So Calif. I checked it around 1:30 maybe 2:00 am, just spectacular, huge, full moon. I fell asleep and missed the rest of it. I should have set up the telescope, it's a piece of junk but the moon looks great through it. I viewed a full moon with a 16" scope once, awesome.... we were looking at a 5 mile diameter crater and it felt like I was hovering above it looking for a place to put down..
