I'm waiting for your response to this. Also some sort of acknowledgement that I was right re Usain bolt would be nice as well!
Freddy here, who claims to have reached the peak in muscular development, such a physical specimen that the he couldn't possibly achieve anything further with the pedestrian workouts he's spammed this entire site with to enrich the rest of us mere mortals, claimed that if he, of the finely tuned physique, were to even dream of accomplishing anything further, would have to spend hours and hours in the gym to even achieve a tad more muscle growth. It's right here on this thread. And now he's harrassing the hell out of visaria for stating that an accomplished athlete would need to spend hours upon hours in the gym to achieve further growth. Demanding links to prove it! Fred is a troll. I have serious doubts that he's anything he claims. I'm certain he hasn't reached the peak of development he continually brags about. How many times does he have to be busted before he'll humble himself and admit it was all a ruse.
You stupid, stupid man. Usain Bolt is not attempting to optimize muscle growth. If he were, he wouldn't be doing too well. At 6'5" he's a good foot taller than I am. But he only has a 41" chest. Mine is larger when flexed, while my waist is inches smaller than his 33". He is strong and built for speed, but he is not bodybuilding in the gym because that would not serve his purpose. In fact: “I try not to get too bulky.” http://www.gq.com/story/runner-usain-bolt-training-secrets-and-diet He is an elite, world-class athlete. He dedicates his life to his sport and it serves him very well. The rest of us mortals have other objectives and responsibilities to attend to and can only dedicate so much time to our fitness. And as average specimens, we don't have the elite kind of recovery ability that world-class athletes have. And world-class athleticism has a significant genetic component quite apart from the inordinate effort required to achieve such world-class athleticism. WTF is wrong with you, flh? This thread is (was) dedicated to building the most amount of muscle with the least amount of effort by not overtraining and getting in your own way. It was never intended for people sporting superior genetics whose life revolves around the gym. And contrary to what you wrote, I don't think that spending much more time in the gym would serve my purpose of maximizing natural muscular development because, at full intensity, I would be overtraining given the recovery ability that goes with being in my late 50s. I have been experimenting and am doing the best I can with what I have and where I am. Why does that offend you so? And it is Visaria who is "harassing" me, with his repeated and unsubstantiated claims that 12 workouts a week are optimal for anyone who has been training for a length of time: There is no valid research to support this claim. It is a recipe for overtraining for anyone with remotely normal recovery capabilities. You are a fool, fhl, whose only purpose is to annoy me. And you can have at it in the Politics forum, but please leave my threads in this forum the hell alone. GTF lost. Baron, please do me a favor. Either ban fhl from participating in my threads in this forum, or please close my threads in this forum. Either way, I'm good. Thanks.
So now you don't think spending more time in the gym would produce greater results? Anyone who's been reading in this forum know that you did, in fact, claim that you have achieved such development that you would have to switch to a program of hours and hours in the gym to progress further. i"m not going to waste my time looking for it. Everyone here that's participated in this forum saw you write it. You don't tell truth, certainly about this, and most likely many other things. Run and hide from the truth, fred. There's nothing else left for you to do.
