  2. Do you need a magnifying glass to read the text on 8K?

    I like Samsung curved, I think it's 32 or 36, with 4 others

  5. Thanks for all contributions. Good comments and nice to see some of the set-ups you guys are using.

I'm probably too lazy / cheap to change things up right now. Maybe some time in the future.

I'm considering finally adding a screen on on top of the one I already have though. Just for running some stuff in Excel and a few additional charts. It would be nice to do this and keep my main screen focused on charts 100 %.

  6. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! :)

I would have loved to be able to do with less, so I'm cautious about not adding more than I need.

Very nice. I have two desks with two CPU’s in an “L” configuration similar to yours.

It does straddle the edge of being just a little too big. Originally I was after a 55" 8k screen that Samsung makes but they were sold out plus after reading the reviews of the overlay Samsung uses on their big televisions and how it smears text I felt better about getting the TCL. The distance to the side doesn't really bother me but having to look up at anything toward the top can be a strain (I sit 4-5 feet away) so I just put the most important stuff down low. Charts I'm day trading and browser windows, whereas status windows like the crypto bot and swing trade stock scanners go to the top. That way they're out of the way but I can glance up whenever and see what's happening. Using the bottom half of the display is like having 2 32" 4k screens side by side just without the bezel so it's probably a bit smaller than even that. In fairness if I could have gotten this screen in 55 inch size it would be perfect. All that said the productivity advantage at full resolution is peerless. 8k is equivalent to 16 1080p monitors or 4 4k monitors. As long as the screen is big enough so the text is comfortably legible there's nothing like it.

You'd be surprised how well 8k works on this size screen. You have the real estate of 4 32" 4k monitors in a grid so if you maintain the same dpi you would with a single 32 inch 4k monitor just on a 65 inch 8k monitor, text is about the same size. In my estimation it's slightly too large without any scaling which is why I mention above a 55 inch at this resolution is probably closer to ideal.

That's a sweet desk. Mine is one of those standing desks where you turn the crank. Naturally I'm too lazy to ever raise it up but at the time of purchase my heart was in the right place.
Chair is a Costco special. The acoustic guitar is a cheap Yamaha but the electric is a Fender Stratocaster special edition set up for rock with a Floyd Rose bridge and it plays so well.

I'd like to do this someday. I'm just getting started. Maybe next year. I have watched some videos. On Youtube. I have interest. And lack understanding haha.

I keep an acoustic and a Strat next to my work space also but dude, use guitar stands. Broken necks and or headstocks are no fun.
