I really like my single ultra wide curved Samsung. It let's me run TOS with 4 confortable size charts and everything else I need to trade with. I had bought a larger but conventional size curved screen to replace it for more top and bottom real estate but found it cumbersome as I couldn't spread all the info I wanted on it, so it became my kid's gaming screen. To each his own.
I've got a couple of 43" full screen (not curved-don't know the terminology ) They seem to suit me. I have a "main screen" I use for trade entry and a second for "secondary information". Works for me.
I didn't read the entire thread. I wonder whether this new LG monitor would be useful? No bezels between two stacked monitors any more. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/lg-dualup-square-monitor/
Pic came out crap but this is it. Full disclosure I'm running Linux on this box and the kernel I'm using doesn't support the drivers for the latest AMD video cards so I'm slumming it in 4k until I revert back to the other box I was using where it worked great. In the pic there are a lot of overlapping windows for my crypto bot, my futures trading software, browser, stock price scanners, etc. The idea behind 8k is to avoid having to overlap any windows so I can see everything and react without having to fiddle. At 8k this theory works great and as soon as I get it back going I'll post another pic. The bright side is the monitor runs at 120 hertz when in 4k so if you're a gamer you'll really like it. Variable refresh rate too so no screen tearing. Also, multiple dimming zones so blacks look black. The contrast ratio is amazing. And, uh, pardon the mess. View attachment 274863
All I see are moire patterns on the screen, a kinda' small keyboard, and that you play both guitar and bass.
That's a huge beast! Do you have any problems with height of the monitor and the fact that it's not curved? At what distance are you sitting from the monitor?
