Good luck with that. I'll phrase it this way: Morgan Stanley used to do that, but it tied up too much capital. :D

Better yet, how do you plan to transport and store your oil in compliance with the specific exchange requirements for making or taking delivery of the physical ?

The State and Federal EPA will also have something to say about storing a thousand plus barrels of oil.

Wait a minute... Is this an upcoming episode of mythbusters??
Are you all saying 1000 bbls of oil or 112,000 lbs of sugar, or 160 pigs plus or minus won't be dumped on my trugreen suburban backyard lawn? Prime won't deliver either?... C'mon, 1000 bsh of corn is a mini contract, easily stored on an urban high-rise roof!

  6. Dude, delivered in Cushing Oklahoma in some approved warehouse or designated facility.
I just want a certificate/receipt for the 1000 barrels and pay for the storage and insurance cost while I'll hold it, the stuff would never leave the CME circuit, approved facilities, etc..

  8. I believe we are witnessing convergence, news says they'll pay you to take the stuff.
Anyway, the question still stands. Is there any broker that will let you take physical delivery?

This is insane... -40.32 print. Maybe you could buy a contract and just dump the oil down the drain. Similar to what the dairy farmers are doing with their milk that they can't sell.

Dude, if the majors can't find storage, you really think your 1000 barrels at an approved facility held by a tiny speculator is realistic?
