I'm using Chrome that came with my Toshiba laptop. It says I am updated to the latest version, and there have been no hangups. I just went to the RCG pictorium thread and it loaded all of the pictures just fine. My operating system is Windows 7, my lapto is a Satellite P775.
ET running way faster on Chrome today than it has in a long time. I wonder if any adjustments have been made on ET or if Chrome did an update.
Got it fixed yesterday. No idea what was corrupted or how it got that way... sharing in case anyone may have the problem in the future. Flushed/cleared these: Clear browsing history Clear download history Empty the cache Clear saved passwords Clear saved Autofill form data Clear data from hosted apps Then uninstalled Chrome, rebooted, reinstalled chrome and let it auto sync with my profile. That cleaned it up and it has now been running now with no hangs on both the laptop and desktop. Tried clearing just the stuff above, no fix. Removed/reinstalled, no fix. Doing the two together with a reboot appears to have worked.
I'm always fiddling with stuff on the back end to try to improve performance, but I think the recent improvement might be the latest Chrome update more than anything.
