lol just when i thought i was out they pull me back in Jesus christ that was the craziest week of trading ever, pretty much ended up exactly where i was before in terms of total Assets, but went from down 100k to break even over the course of the week, cut all the oil stuff cause i couldnt guarantee the dividends at 60 dollar oil, moved back into some Tech stuff I thought was safe from Tariffs, NFLX, META, GOOG. Also picked up a bunch of index funds at the low, because I felt alot more comfortable averaging down on indexes into that kind of move, than averaging down on individual stocks where your not sure whats going to come out of the other end. Basically havent slept since last Wednesday watching the futures all night and going from being fully hedged to lifting the hedge and getting long as the market bottomed. Went from 1/3 equities 2/3 cash...... to 2/3r equities 1/3 cash, so it will be a good year now if thats the bottom, hope you all made it out of that alive!
This is why it's good to have a good twitter feed one of the guys i follow @charlibillelo was keeping up with the statistics on how the market performs wheb the VXX hits those levels all week...... Barring any other issues should be a good year now.

Best day ever, that's good. The trick now is trying to understand and accomplish that everyday or on most days. Not just randomly leaving your future trading fate to Trump to make generalized moves in the market
Agreed, I think that is a tradeable bottom now though, so what im looking to do now is roll out of the index funds i was buying and into the stocks i like more. but im thinking a pullback to 440 on the QQQ will probably happen they will test that support level, so im looking to buy weakness now in some of the names i like. Ill start hedging again with the futures if it starts falling apart again but for now the boot is off our neck as a trader.
Max, Glad you are still alive. I got my ass kicked last Friday of March on a very stupid long, which I puked, so I took the next week off. And it was brutal, but I was out. So I thought Max must be dead (as in real death). By Wednesday evening, I was furious, and I waited until midnight for the China tariff crap, and got long RTY futures at 00:33, sold at 2:00pm today, and made my stupid Friday loss back. Zero sleep, while watching movies. Highly recommend: Watched this like 3 times!!!

Figure out what you wanna do and go afyer it with all that passion!! Done it for almost 20 years this won't be the last move like that even though it's hard just stick to the guns and realize the market will always be higher on a 5 year time frame Big difference from trying to trade a 1 hour or 1 minutes time frame lol
And for the people wondering they ain't trying to push the lows in the middle of the night like they did the last 2 weeks on the futures, now shorts are trying to get out and longs trying to get back in, what a difference a couple days makes.
