Rebate Capture Strategies soon to be outlawed?

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by seasideheights, Sep 18, 2009.

  1. Rebate traders thicken up the depth of markets. I'm not one but enjoy the liquidity they provide and many traders will miss it should they go away.

  2. They should force all Trades to be T+10

When you buy a stock you cannot sell it back for 10 days etc..

    And uptick/downtick rule.

You can only go long during a down tick and go short during an up tick.

And all stocks have to provide a minimum 15% dividend payout.

And ban stock options, only compensation allowed is cash to employees.

And ban stock issuance without a vote by shareholders to permit new dilutive issuance.

    I think thats all.

  3. Rebate traders suck ass.

Get rid of them with the HFT leeches.

    They do nothing but microfrontrun.
