ES E-MINI S&P 500 Real Time Trading Signal #6 Signal Canceled MANAGE IT YOURSELF 4:02 PM ET Oct 8, 2010
I don't really like to brag but could not resist a factual response to this one. I have a document from Princeton University stating that my GRE score was in top 1 percentile. That beats Mensa membership of top 2 percentile IQ of the whole population. If I have the IQ of an oyster as you stated, then you should register your discovery about the IQ of oysters.
Ouch... I touched a nerve! Someone's having a little complex here... Sorry Mr Princeton, your arrogant IQ will not help you making money trading. It certainly doesn't make you sound funny either. Your last post referring to PMS really said it all. Now you help us understand this: how is it possible that you and winborn have created your handles on the exact same day, that you have both posted only in the same thread, and that you haven't done anything but defending him? Explain this to us, mister big IQ from Princeton. Just a coincidence. Naturally.
Winborn, Here's some helpful "trade journal" advice for you and others that consider starting their own journals. Most journals in the journal thread @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=205493 do not have broker profit/loss statements along with most journals in that thread having a few "questionable" trades. Therefore, why does journals like yours take heat (attract bashing) from ET members while other journals in the journal section do not take heat ? * Those journals are like a "diary" of trades and thoughts...making them very "personal" or welcoming. In contrast, journals like yours that only provide signal calls are very "impersonal" or not welcoming. * Those journals have charts and/or supporting market commentary. * Post your journal in the journal section because it's well moderated in comparison to the Index Futures section. * Those journals the OP (thread starter) reveals some basic concepts about their trade method without revealing any specific details. That attracts the pikers (those wanting someone to spoon feed them) and they'll defend you in hopes that you'll reveal more. * If you state in your opening statement "happy to answer your questions"...ensure you reply with a decent answer when someone ask for info about your trade approach. Once again, you should reply with basic concepts without revealing specific details. * If English is not your first language (it's not mine)...make sure your readers know that so that they will not misinterpret many of your statements as "cold" or "none responsive". * Best way to get rid of the bashers (if they show up and they have shown up in your journal) is to post a broker statement (takes no more than 2 mins of work) similar to what you see in the Trader P/L 2010 @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=187235 Also, take a look at the journal called "Journal of Index Futures Trading" @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=205466 There's no personal attacks, no bashing, no mudslinging because there's charts, broker statements, brief market commentaries and images of what his trading screen looks like...while he has only revealed basic trading concepts. Thus, in many ways, he's maintained his privacy while letting readers "feel" the opposite. Has the feel of a "real trading diary"...very personal. * Those threads "invite" readers to participate. For example, check out the opening statement in the CL Redux thread @ http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=178741 Simply, you can continue posting your "signal calls" along with inviting others into doing the same. Very tough for bashers to attack every one in comparison to attacking one person that's talking about his/her trades. --------------------- Here's my recommendation, start a new trade journal very similar to what you see in the journal section and nobody will bother you. If you don't believe me...re-read your current thread to see the problems. Make a habit of contacting the moderators to remove "off topic", "personal attacks" and "noise" from your journal to prevent your journal from becoming an eye sore. Simply, if it becomes an eye sore...you will have a very difficult time in building a sincere readership. P.S. Baron (ET owner) is very good in deleting the garbage if you contact him and/or banning members. Mark
Very nice informative post. I am sorry that I am also responsible for some of the noise here. Unfortunately, I got into this nonsense battle just because I made a few comments. Even though I had some positive criticisms and suggestions, I did not 100% attack him like others. My intention for joining this forum was to: 1 - Study and possibly use the information here. 2 - Share part of my own methodology and signals, hoping some people may participate and criticize in a positive manner so I also may get some stimulation for new ideas and benefit from diversified views. Well, I realize now that I was too optimistic. I wonder how many others are there who have something to share but realize it is almost impossible.
I just want to see him share his results from yesterday. This is what happens with his style of trading. Countless trades just to barely eek out a questionable profit, then one day, boom, three weeks of small profits down the toilet. And the sad fact is that those trading with real money fared much worse. This is because probably at least 1/3 of the profitable trades wouldn't be executed in real life, but 100% of the bad trades would be. People attack him because they can see through his bull shit easily. This forum is for people to share and learn, it's not for scam artist and losers to come and trick newer traders into giving them money. This is why people like the OP are attacked on here, and it's good that it's done. The easiest way to stop the attacks would simply be to post trades that are good and work. Then no one would say anything. I've had no one attack me I'm my journal I started. I've had two trades and am up 8 points. In two trades, 1 winning and 1 losing, easy to follow along with trades as well, I've made money where the OP here has lost.
As Signal No. 5 & 6 Canceled We had 8 Trades for today. October 8, 2010 Trades Results No. of Trade:8 Profitable Trades:0 Gross Loss: ( 16.5 ) Points Gross Profit: 0 Points Total P/L: ( 16.5 ) Points Win Rate: 0 Thanks GOD WINBORN TRADERS
Well ...I never thought I would see the day a trader could be 0-7...( 14.5 points plus commission= approx. 16.5 points)....not easy to do... Fate... And all Winborn had to do was to be honest.... NiN
