Has anyone ever worked as a real time energy trader? Iâm going to start applying to some positions that open up near me but I donât have any experience with energy trading. I have a BSEE and have been trading my own account for about 3 years, but thatâs the only relevant experience I have. Another thing is that I canât seem to find much on what the day to day operations of this job is. From what I can find out, you work 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays. I also heard that because of the hours that these positions usually have a high turn over rate. Iâm just wondering if this is a good foot in the door job to get into energy trading.
Take what you can get, not what you want. If you're scared of "long hours", don't get involved with it.
