Reagan --- Market Closed ??

Any thoughts on if they will close the NYSE for Reagan .... and if so what day ?

 

There will 2 minutes of silence at the open.

 

All federal offices closed the 11th.

The smartest decision of his entire term... I wonder though if Globex will be closed too? Doubt it...

According to Bloomberg radio just now, the NYSE is actively considering closing the exchange for Friday. No determination has yet been made. Apparently it is traditionally closed for a presidential or, I presume, ex-presidential funeral.

On a related note, Reagan was the first president to visit the exchange while still in office.

 

The NYSE has done so in all previous Presidential funerals.
