was the last time the NYSE was closed while NASDAQ was open?

  7. According to Bloomberg radio just now, the NYSE is actively considering closing the exchange for Friday. No determination has yet been made. Apparently it is traditionally closed for a presidential or, I presume, ex-presidential funeral.

On a related note, Reagan was the first president to visit the exchange while still in office.

  8. The NYSE has done so in all previous Presidential funerals.
