"An Electronic Market-Maker" by Nicholas Tung Chan and Christian Shelton http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.124.6042&rep=rep1&type=pdf
Did you read the paper? Anyone who is making markets in equities or futures either A) has this site blocked at work and won't be on here or B) makes enough money and understands it well enough that they won't be on here giving away secrets. No one on ET will tell you how market makers develop their algos/strategies. Anyone who attempts to is lying or making things up. Anyone who used to make markets and has since retired but still trades will use their experience in other areas and still will not share. The ONLY way to learn about High Finance/Advanced Trading is with experience in the markets, not from a message board.
Yeah I've read the paper. Come on, maybe I should change my thread title to be "how to become a market maker?"
Why not just rename every thread here and on Wilmott to "How can I outsource all of the blood, sweat, and tears required to make the big leagues for no cost or effort?"
