Let's see if you can do basic math. The percentage of ER visits in the same time period were reduced by 53% from the visits in 2019 for child abuse. Of these visits; in 2020 -- 3.2% of the ER visits for child abuse were admitted to the hospital. In 2019 -- 2.1% of the ER visits (a much higher number BTW) for child abuse resulted in being admitted to the hospital. Let's assume (as an example) 10,000 children were brought to the ER for child abuse in 2019. Based on the facts above tell us: How many abused children in 2019 were admitted to the hospital from ER? How many abused children in 2020 were admitted to the hospital from ER? Let's see if you can even do basic math. Or if you are complete failure in elementary school level math skills.

Another CDC study detailed how two Florida high school wrestling matches -- a high-contact sport that does not allow for masking or social distancing -- became superspreader events that led to the loss of an estimated 1,700 in-person school days. 'This is not a one and done' Overall, more research on the public health impacts of holding in-person learning during the pandemic remains needed, said Anderson of Johns Hopkins University. Not much new there, except it continues to say - I believe- that vaccinations are not required for teachers, even if desirable. There needs to be leadership on the issue. Joe just sort of points over to the CDC but does not act as a leading force on this back-to-school issue. And the country gets lecture on how his wife is DR. Jill Biden, an education expert but you dont see him using her to go out on the stump and settle this dispute with teachers. We need to see some leadership on this. I mean, it would require dems to move on from Trump when they are not ready to do that, but it is needed. We even saw El Concho defend Biden earlier in the week by saying it was really a state and local issue. Man, that was lame. No it is not.
