In North Carolina we are once again seeing in January a classic example of the difference in results between schools mandating masks and schools not using masks. School systems such as Wake in North Carolina mandate masks be used. The Wake County school system with 160,000+ students currently has no schools closed due to Covid. Yes, there are staffing pressures due to teachers and others being out with Omicron.. and yes, there are students who are out due to Omicron. However not a single school has reached the level of requiring to shut down and going remote. This situation in very different in counties such as Harnett which don't require masks. Nearly all the schools in Harnett are being shut down this week and going remote due to being overrun with Covid in a maskless environment. In North Carolina - the legislature passed a law that only individual schools can go remote due to Covid, not entire school systems. However having nearly every single school in a maskless school system shut-down for in-person learning is effectively the same as shutting down the entire school system. Certainly this is not good for the education of children. If they had only required masks this could have been avoided.
Post the data. Otherwise its just conjecture and we all know how you love to masquerade your conjecture as fact based empirical evidence. Unless you're just here to give an opinion. Which you are certainly entitled to do.
Very easy for anyone to simply to go look up and see what school systems have closed schools due to Covid in North Carolina and if they have a mask mandate.
Just to clarify it says that kids already vaccinated do not need the booster buyt does not say the vaccination was unnecessary.... If Biden was pushing boosters should be mandatory for all children then this certainly should slow that down but they still did not say children do not need any vaccinations.
This is true. But it is becoming interesting now that some places are changing the definition of "fully vaccinated" to include boosters.
