For anyone who is currently trading prop : if I am long 300 shares and want to make myself net short 300 shares by executing a 600 share sell order will the margin required by the house reflect the NET margin ie 300 shares now short or would I need enough buying power for the full 600 shares even though my net exposure is only 300?
