RCM-X Execution Algorithm Strategies Now Available on the TT® Platform

CHICAGO, May 30, 2018 – Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a global provider of high-performance professional trading software, and RCM-X, a provider of trading technology and risk management services for the professional trading and investment management space, today announced the availability of RCM-X’s full suite of next-generation automated execution algorithms on Trading Technologies’ TT trading platform.

TT users now have access to seven different RCM-X algorithmic strategies including TWAP, VWAP, IS (Implementation Shortfall), POV, CLOSE, SCALEPOV and ICEBERG for advanced trade optimization and execution. Algorithm parameters, such as exceeding percentage of volume, maximum participation and passive price level, are accessible directly from the TT screen, allowing traders to adjust algorithms on the fly.

“We’re pleased to add RCM-X algorithms to our extensive offering of algorithmic trading tools for professional traders, which currently includes ADL®, TT Algo SDK and TT Order Types,” said Guy Scott, Managing Director, Sales Americas at Trading Technologies. “TT users can now leverage RCM-X’s trading strategies, developed by experienced traders across various asset classes, for reduced market impact and increased execution quality.”

RCM-X algorithms are available for many liquid outright futures markets as well as exchange-listed calendar spreads. Additionally, RCM-X can deliver custom client-specific algorithms through the TT platform for users who require specific execution algorithm parameters.

“Bringing automated execution algos to the TT platform is the next step for RCM-X to reach a new community of professional traders. We are very excited to work with TT to help traders reduce slippage, increase performance, and keep up with challenges of modern day trading by utilizing RCM-X’s proprietary software that has market microstructure awareness,” said RCM-X’s Managing Partner Joe Signorelli.

Is there an algorithm to trade commodity futures at the open (to get a price as close as possible to the open price) by any chance?
Do you need TT Pro to access these algorithms?

    Hi ryker,

Third-party algos are available with both TT Standard and TT Pro.

RCM-X provided this response to address your first question:
"For the opening clients can use our IS (Implementation Shortfall) algo. The algo targets the arrival price in this case that would be the opening."

If you'd like more information about how the algo works or about other RCM-X algos, you can reach out to to them directly at algos@rcm-x.com or 312.966.4660.

Thanks, I will contact them directly.

Where can I find information about 3rd party algos by the way? Also, if someone develops an algorithm for me, is this considered 3rd party (meaning can I run it with TT Standard)?

    Thanks

We don't have any public information about other third-party algos available on our website. If you'd like to DM your contact details, I'd be happy to have one of our reps reach out to you. They can answer your questions about custom algos as well.
