  1. And here was me thinking JH has mellowed, until I got to this bit:eek:

"Doing a routine while looking at trending's pattern is the CPM to experetise. trending's pattern provides a integraded set of nested fractals from the finest granularity of the markets all the way to the economics and econometrics of the present Depression we are experiencing."

Fractals..Fractals....Fractals.......what the fuk JH, are you really serious:eek:

That is like saying that reading the secret, and other such rubbish, will help you get on in life:mad:

ACTION my good fellow, for most humans spend too much time thinking about useless and time wasting endeavors, and, they then wonder why the really never get anywhere in life!

Fractals are about as much use as that Gann rubbish, and all the other useless shite that is thrown around by those who look for excuses:eek:

A child can make GOOD money trading, for, a child has no preconceptions of what must and must not be, and, reacts to what it sees, so, to become The Toddler Trader, you must start wearing nappies again, and learn to wet your pants and piss in the bed a few times:D

  2. Why the hell would you want to backtest anything T66:eek:

Do you really think that backtesting historical data is going to lead to accurate predictions of the future:eek:

Mr Fibonacci spent most of his life trying to turn lead into gold, and, even the most ignorant know that this will NEVER happen, ever.

Question EVERYTHING you see and hear, and, believe NOTHING that anyone says, no matter who they are, for, there really are no "experts", apart from The Expert, of course:)

I am amazed at how gullible people really are, and, how people think that someone is going to show them the "secrets" of making money if they cough up some $$$.

I bet many of you thought that the age of superstition was long gone, but, just stop and think about what most on this site, and other sites, actually post each and every day, and, you will clearly see that superstition is far from dead and gone, and will never ever disappear for the majority.

Montaigne, in 1580, told the world what must happen in order to change future generations for the better, but, do you think those in power would actually let that happen, FAT CHANCE indeed:mad:

  4. Sepher Yetzirah - cube of space in Kabbalah
    http://www.crystalinks.com/outofbox.html

"The box is our reality, a virtual experience in linear time and emotion created by the patterns of sacred geometry. Creation takes place outside of the box, consciousness grids, creating endless intertwined experiences to be played out in physical reality. In this case, 'Thinking Outside the Box' means viewing reality as patterns locked in time, encoded in our DNA through which we experience. When you think outside the box your consciousness moves beyond linear thinking. "

  5. Why the hell would I want to backtest anything of Jack Hershey's would be a better question.

Anyone and everyone who trades uses nothing but historical data as the basis for their trading decisions. Even tic charts are history by the time they reach your screen. So anyone who trades and says that backtesting isn't a valid concept is contradicting themselves.

  6. Nahh, that stuff is all rubbish and just wastes more time that could be used for setting up automated scans.

I saw a tv programme once that showed some idiots sprawled in a yoga position, on a big water bed or something to that effect, and, their goal was to meditate, hop along on their knees, and then, wait for it, float in the air:D

    What a bunch of fruitcakes:eek:

The only out of body experience you will have when trading, is, when you lose all the profits you have made over a long period on 1 or 2 trades, for, that makes you feel like you are somewhere else, like in an asylum:D

Prevent idiotic and silly things from taking up your time, like posting on internet forums:D, and when trading, do not let anything or anyone distract you, especially some idiots posting live calls in a chat room, for, it those idiots were clever, then, they would know that the more you focus the more you will make.

  7. T66, if you really believe that backtesting has value, then, all I will say is that you have been grossly misinformed by someone.

Has anything about the "patterns" made sense to you at all:eek:

Do you not believe that this is how the brain is wired and how it operates, to your own detriment if you let it be so.

Do what you will, as all do, but, others must know, if they want to make GOOD money, and, realize that, 99.99% of what people say is pure and utter rubbish, and, has no bearing on the realities of trading.

  8. Redneck

    Redneck

  9. Misinformed by someone? Obviously my point went completely over your head. Tell me how you or anyone can trade WITHOUT using historical data. It's impossible. Therefore backtesting necessarily has value. Period.

  10. I don't think anyone got the humor of T666 and whether or not he backtested the "unusual volume" one pager.

Worden Bros staff did it with their drag and drop Blox using a non universe called the NAZ100. they got a Sharpe Ratio over 60. (twice...they didn't believe they did th D and D right the first time....lol since the sharpe Ratio was over 60).

This is a thread about the brain. Things go on in the brain especially when something is "sensed" with the senses.

Anyone's mind is capable of determining what was sensed in a short while.

this result is known as "perception".

I see the doggie behind the picket fence says TE. Yes, says T666, I see it too. TE and T666 return to playing hopscotch on the sidewalk with their lucky pebbles and stolen school chalk.

T666 says to TE:" Did you notice how wide the picket fence slats were?"

TE says: "No I didn't I was looking at how narrow the spacing was between the slats."

Then say in chorus: "you better begin to watch what I watch if you want to be as smart as I am".

Jane is sitting on a nearby rock smiling. She asks: Did the barking of the dog help either of you a little? It made both of you poop in your pants when it first barked. I know I can smell you and see it running down your legs below your short pants, too."

    Moral:

T666 can't backtest. If T666 backtested the "unusual volume" and got Worden Bros results, we wouldn't post it since he is looking at a barking spyder anyway.

Why doesn't TE do backtests? He thinks they are all poopy.

How many runs did we do to check the values in the chart at the bottom of the one pager? 400,000. Why? Why not?

How does a person use the one pager? Answer: The same way over and over and over.

    What happens to the person?

He says: "Why am I trading stocks when the same pattern applies to the ES"

Look at last Friday. This means look at the chat of 81 bars on the ES

Use a crayola and 40 contracts. Do each observable pattern. Total the points and multiply by 40 times 50 (1.000). Divide the product by 40 times your margin. Multiply by 100 to get your percent of profits for the day.

Using the crayola to make the zigzags is called backtesting. Make a R2R 2B 2R one trade. Make B2B 2R 2B one trade. ETC....

Now do it again trading each move R2R, 2B, 2R, B2B, 2R 2B, etc..... How much more did you make?

go one fractal faster.... How much did you make?......

go another fractal faster using the signals from the YM to trade the ES. how much did you make then.

Why doesn't trending ever turn into chop (consolidation)? Are the slats or the spaces in between slats what is important for shitting your pants while playing hopscotch? Are fractals important or are they poopy?

Jane thinks dogs who bark make little boys who can't think shit in their pants.

Did the pattern come from backtesting? No, it came from painting both sides of fences.

Where did that lil old one pager come from that makes money so fast its Sharpe Ratio is 60? It came from the pattern inside the natural cycle of position trading stocks. The top of the one pager is an Excel sheet. are Excel sheets poopy too?
