  1. Trump needs to handle himself carefully here of course, because it is all about getting re-elected.

Ironically though, I think that even though Trump might get pithy and say controversial things, that the dems - not being all that smart- are at greater risk of messing up the handling of the court appointment.

How, you may ask? Because they will rally the dems with this issue, but then it will all deteriorate into even more street violence because that is all the rage and the only skill they have these days. Heavy duty street violence will accrue to Trump's benefit at the polls.

As with all the other issues, the dems will go through a period where they will be happy with all the street agitation because it will look like enthusiasm for their causes in the beginning. Then, as we have seen, it will turn grim and they will go back to worrying whether it is helping them or Trump.

Be careful, Tards. You are not all that smart. Keep your animal lowlifer looter wing of your party under control as this court appointment thing takes us to new depths, even below the Kavanaugh sham and scam.

Oh my god. This is some of the worst news I can imagine. There is almost four months to get a new justice installed before the next president takes office. Depending on who the President selects (William Barr?), if the Democrats win this election and takeover the Senate, they may have no other choice than to change the rules to eliminate the filibuster and impeach Kavanaugh for lying under oath. It may be the only way to maintain sanity on the court. It all depends on Trump's choice. If it's his usual campaign donor, then god help us. Whoever it is will sail right through the senate in record time. They will be on the court in time to swing the election to Trump if he can get the results into the Supreme court. Our Country is in Gorsuch's and Robert's hands now. We live in interesting times.

  4. It might as well be. Trump’s body, that is. Going against the last wish of a dying person may not make a difference between the respective voter bases. However, the undecideds seem likely to look at Trump’s action of trying to nominate a replacement for Ruth as a sign of low confidence in his reelection and/or a comfirmation of Trump having a weak character by putting politics over decency or people. Ruth was respected by both sides, as suggested by comments here on ET. Never mind Mitch’s hypocracy, if not outright lie regarding appointing a new Supreme Court justice close to an election. I know changing the status quo is not unique to the Republicans, but this one is going to hurt them like Hillary’s deplorable comment.

    RIP, Mr. Trump.

Tactical error by the democrats. This is entirely the fault of them not doing a better job at explaining to Ginsberg she's been on death's door forever. Obama and his ilk urged Ginsberg to step down before the election because she was frail. She refused. Her hubris is paid in full by the panic being induced in the left now.

Politics is no longer about character. It's simple idolatry. Expecting anything less from actual lizards (or in some cases, tortoises) is giving them too much credit. Besides, she can still vote by mail - right?

This is actually extremely important since paper voting is practically begging for vote harvesting. No one will accept the election. As a result it will likely be a repeat of 2000 and the supreme court will be left to decide the president. An additional right leaning candidate would skew the results of the inevitable recount towards the Republicans. Though Kavanaugh has been moderate in many of his recent decisions despite the spastic left claiming he was a "literal rapist white supremacist misogynist". Guess we should all just chill the fuck out for a minute, huh?

I'm going to have a drink and scroll through le reddit to bask in the spastic retardation. I suggest everyone does the same.
