You guys have lost this one and the course of the country has been altered for the good for at least a generation. What's more is that Breyer may retire in Trump's second term and further this direction. Thyme for you to move on to something else. Thank you for your attention.
Maybe that would go over like a turd in the punch bowl. That is, have hearings but not have them concluded before the election. Then have the Repubs say, "OK that's enough... no more hearings as the election is close at hand... we're taking a confirmation vote now". Once they agree to have hearings, can the Repubs just "shut them off" at a politically convenient time ??
Now you are deliberately trying to piss the lefties off. I APPROVE THAT MESSAGE. The thing that I like about this court appointment scenario is that I consider the election to be a toss-up (not arguing it, just saying that is my state of mind) but I still very much want to see the liberals cry again. So, seeing Ruthie;s alleged seat go to a conservative will at least give me one more time to see them come unglued. BUT, HEY, NOT TO WORRY. I AM DEFINITELY UP FOR SEEING THEM CRY OVER THE COURT APPOINTMENT AND THEN AGAIN IN NOVEMBER. TOO MUCH IS NOT ENOUGH.
I suspect that Bagoa will be the nominee this time as she has been recently vetted and it will be difficult for the Idiot Dems to block someone they just approved with 80 votes to the Appeals Court in 2019. Her nomination proceedings would go swiftly. Then when Breyer retires, Amy Coney Barrett would be installed bringing the total number of conservatives on the court to 4.
This is quite a picture - Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s former law clerks waiting in honor before she arrives at the Supreme Court one last time:
