There was a hospice nurse who practiced for 25 plus years. She put a book out about the number one regrets people had throughout their lifetime. She would ask her patients. The number one regret if I remember correctly numero uno was “I wish I hadn’t worked so much” . People get on the hamster wheel and never get off. edit sorry it was number 2 https://amp.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/feb/01/top-five-regrets-of-the-dying
Yeah it's brutal... some managers will give you a big project on a Thursday or Friday and expect it on Monday. If you try and bill for the time they'll let you go.
"Gotta to serve somebody" -Bob Dylan A key, not THE key, to happiness is to stop looking for it. Grass is always greener stuff like this job city country bitcoin lol ... whatever sucks. Maybe its not the job, city or country that sucks - and bitcoin might even help to pay for that "new life" someday.
You didn't appreciate my sarcastic reply. Okay, I can understand that. But I think you can also understand why I might not be terribly impressed by you linking me a screenshot of a yahoo finance chart of a stock that went down a lot and up a lot, and acting like it explains anything. Sure, you don't have to prove anything to me. But extraordinary claims do require extraordinary evidence if you want anyone to take you seriously. Were you or were you not claiming to be able to make 1000% to 5000% during market dislocations? Maybe I just misunderstood your post? If so, feel free to elaborate as I doubt I'm the only one who was confused.
Yh. Yahoo makes it to look noobish. (Smiles) Tho wouldn't change the facts/question if it was from TDA or MT5. I am not claiming that i made such trade. What i am saying, that it is possible, with a certain approach to catch such dis-priced equityies near bottom, if, one understands difference between value & price. It's not a lottery, but simply lots of work. (Both TA & FA needed) Thus, it would be wiser to do this, - to prey/to wait for opportunities like that, instead of YOLing that money away. P.s Again, falls under the seek of validation. You can't prove anything & you shouldn't, if other person isn't open-minded. Otherwise, more often than not, will end up telling your ,,secrets" to individuals that don't like you (or simply are idiots) & only waste your time/energy. So just make your statement (not you, but in generall) & be done with it.
High school friend of mine (40 years ago) and I were reminiscing about our years growing up, how we'd retire on a million dollars, as a dream. Time went on and that million dollars seemed both unattainable and yet somehow less than we'd imagined. Suddenly, in our late 40s we started making far more money working than either of us expected and with that came expectations. That million suddenly not only seemed attainable, but it wasn't going to be enough. 10 years later and recent lucky investments in Tesla, we laugh at how we could ever have thought 1 million dollars would be enough to retire on. Life takes you places you have no idea. You adjust with what you have, take the easy and the hard of it and do the best you can.
I see. So your point was to give an example of an edge that would be better than YOLOing. That makes sense. Only problem is you've never traded it and don't really know if it exists or not, which makes it.. not the best example. Anyway, I can certainly agree with you that trading with an edge is better than gambling. There is some wisdom in this but I feel you are missing something as well. Other people taking you seriously isn't just about personal validation for you. It's about your ability to communicate with other people (which presumably you care about to some extent since you're on a forum?) If you get a reputation as someone who makes wild claims with nothing to them up, you aren't doing yourself any favors.
When one thinks about it, forum is not that different from the market. One day it presents the right person/green & the next day you get a wrong person/red. And everyone has opinions , but opinions : What i trust tho, is my own data & numbers. And it says that there's nothing wild about such trade. You think, that's it's ,, wild ", while for me it's a - numbers game. & No matter what one does, he will never, ever, be able to please everybody. Thus, i will keep making my wild claims, directed towards the right people & if someone else doesn't like that, then da hell with them. Good luck cruise. Stay profitable & healthy.
I bet in the moment, everyone feels those things. I don’t think anyone dies like Rose did in the titanic. And everyone feels like Oscar Schindler (“I could have saved just one more”)
