The UK press focused on yesterday's 7-2 vote in the November BoE minutes. The Telegraph looks at Gieve's choice to vote for a cut writing that 'by dint of his position as the deputy governor for financial stability, he has the most intimate link with the markets. So his decision to dispense with his habitual hawkishness at this months meet is highly significant'. The Business comment section of the paper writes that the Bank should take hold of the situation by cutting.

The above commentary was provided by Real-time Analysis & News (R.A.N) Ltd (known to traders as “Ransquawk”) operates from 0630GMT until 2200GMT to incorporate full coverage of the US bond and equity futures markets.
