So this mean reversion strategy is now long a pair that is trending? Worst........journal.........ever.
I've asked Magna to review this...."journal" and see if it truly belongs in the journal forum. He runs a pretty tight ship, and there have been journals less credible than this joke of a thread that were closed or moved to chit-chat in the past. I can't imagine why this silly thing would be allowed to exist.
The topic is trading and is no different than the ES journal. If you do not like it, do not read it. Any further intrusions will be met with the complain button.
Can you please tell how to manipulate the column that says profit? You are just looking as if you were quite wrong and now you are chafed. Magna, if you would like me to verify my results, please PM me.
Ron, the only way mathematically you could have accomplished that is by making each additional add exponentially larger then the previous add. And by a huge multiple I might add. I'll do the math later but no where on this thread did you state you were doing that. In other words get short one unit at 96, 5 units at 97 and then 25 units at 98. Otherwise based on your fills it simply was not possible.
It's easy Ron. You close out of the losing position and then open a new one and by not showing all the available columns such as trade date and time you show us a completely new trade that shows a miniscule profit and then claim that was part of the 3 layer monster you got rolled over on. Ron, you don't think we have all figured these tricks out over the years by reading the 1000's of journals here. There is nothing new under the sun here. If you are going to post account activity screens, show us the time stamps on the trade, not just the columns you want us to see. This thread is amateur hour.
You averaged into a loss on at least 3 trades. You covered the first two at a large loss (FIFO), leaving the remaining trade open as it showed a small gain. Anyone looking at the price history of CHFJPY can see that there wasn't a retrace that would have allowed you to exit with a profit. You purposely switched to the "position" format to avoid showing the two losers (>100 pips). You have zero credibility.
The time stamps are on the screen, John. As far as my adding strategy, I simply am not going to tell you that. Do the math and we will see if you get close.
Please show me where the time stamp is on your screenshot Ron. I'll be waiting. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=3717011
