Saturday night, staying home, sipping wine, reading Barron's. Last week was a winning week in the market - made a grand total of $5. Hey, it goes in the win column no matter how small.
That from this week's The Trader column in Barron's. The retail/specialty retail sectors have been weak for a long time now, and I've recently added retail stocks at 52 week lows to my buy watch. I think the turnaround will happen sooner rather than later and I won't let Lundgren's comment shake me. Perhaps he's being overly pessimistic after missing his targets. I simply do not believe that the internet will destroy brick and mortar stores. They will adapt.
It's the trend. You gotta follow the trend. You ain't gonna make the trend. You gotta follow the trend. (Unless you understand reversals...but that's a whole nother story.)
Are you sure you are even drinking REAL orange juice in the first place? Read "Squeezed : what you don't know about orange juice" by Alissa Hamilton and learn the shocking truth that Tropicana, Minute Maid or Del Monte -just to name a few- won't tell you...
Same thing, it's not 100% natural, don't let the labels fool you. Even MSG is natural, according to the FDA! In fact you can put the word "natural" everywhere these days (cans, bottles, processed foods, you name it) and still act according to the "Rules and regulations"...
By the way, here is the ONLY way to get FRESH, REAL orange juice. And if possible, buy organic oranges. Don't let any company "process" your food or beverage people, it's full of unhealthy (if not dangerous or toxic) chemicals, I shit you not.
Brother X...Next time you are in the supermarket, read the ingredients label on a carton of Florida's Natural. I believe they would be in serious trouble with the federal government if they printed false information.
Sitting home right now but could possibly go out later tonight unless some Randomista can talk me out of it.
