I noticed this on a jar of mayonaise, then on a tub of butter. The package said "Bonus size, now 40% more". If you check the price, turns out the price is 40% more. Okay, fair is fair. So what's the reason? Obviuosly to keep retail sales up. Buy the old package for $1 and now the new bonus size is a buck forty. Sales/dollar are up. Ta da. Down the road, the mfg can reduce package size and maintain the same price point. Change the label to read "Bonus size 30% more". Fooled ya.
If every prisoner was sent to do his time in North Dakota, would this reduce the out-of-control crime rate in the USA?
