There's a lot of noise about allowing fracking in NYS. Now the exciting part. The state reckons it will cost them 20m a year to regulate fracking and they don't know where they are going to get the money. I suppose the job site will be one private sector employee staring down a hole and 6 state employee's watching.
6/1 is not bad. Once upon a time, I worked in beautiful Newark,NJ. The street outside our office had a missing manhole cover and one of our employees hit the hole and damaged her car. We called public works and were told someone would be over quickly to fix it. Needless to say, no one showed up, so I asked our maintenance guys to put up warning tape. A couple days later, the crew shows up. It was 8 guys. They stood around for a few hours and finally one of them puts a new cover on. Next day, the police show up and threaten to charge us for putting up the warning tape. I now live in Texas. Seneca
