Overall I remain bullish, however in the short term it was bearish that we had no real fear in the market this morning after such massiv amounts of selling friday. I am hopeful that as selling looks to be accelerating again this afternoon we can get a healthy amount of fear coming into the market that will ultimatly be very good for it.

Since I have not done real well these past two years, and since you, and others, have posted excellent returns, I am considering putting some of my funds elsewhere. I would not have anybody who was not registered as an investment advisor manage any of my money.

One of the world's greatest missing persons mysteries is "Where in the world is Carmine San Diego?" Over the last couple months "What the Hell Happened to Brandon Fredrickson?" must have been running in at a close second.

After having been out of circulation for the last several months I have just now kinda reappeared, and this has caused a lot of questions which I would like to answer now.

First I would like to apologize. I realize now that a lot of people had come to depend upon my market commentary as both a scanning and educational tool. A lot of people have felt let down over the last several months as I stopped posting and just in general did not respond to anything.

Several months ago I started to have the slow onset of a number of neurological systems. Tingling, dizzyness, mood swings, memory loss, no peripheral vision and intense pain behind my eye. It started off and was just slow and an occasional, minor annoyance but quicky it progressed into an all day every day thing. I had no side vision on the left side, I would have lost my own head if it was not firmly attatched at the shoulders, I was experiancing mood swings that would make a bipolar patient dizzy and I had pain behind my left eye that felt like I had eaten ice cream too fast. All of this I had 100% of my waking hours. It was pretty terrible. After I went to the neurologist we found that I have a cyst growing between my ventricles in my brain. This caused an increase in intercranial pressure, which is what had caused all of the problems listed above. Certainly it was nice to know that there was a cause, but I still had to deal with the effect. It was determined that brain surgery was not an option because of the location of the cyst and the problems that surgery could cause. I was pretty much left to fend for myself. As things went along things stabalized, did not get better or worse, but I was still in terrible shape. I honestly think had it not been for fear of what it would do to my family I would have called Dr Kavorkian several times. Things felt very hopeless, and as I isolated myself more and more from the world it of course got worse.

Finally a month ago I went to a new neurologist who had a new solution. He did not propose to simply put me on more narcotics, but to try many other things as well. It took a few weeks for things to start working, but over the last few weeks I have been starting to feel like "myself" again, something which I had been afraid would never happen again. At any rate, we are starting to get the symptoms under control and I am again able to function like a normal human being. Given that and that this is what I love to do, you will be hearing from me again on a fairly regular basis.

I would like to thank everyone who has been patient. I would especially like to apologize though to all of you who I disapointed with my disapearing act. It seems so silly now that I did not just make a phone call, or write a quick letter to explain, but the fact is I did not. At that time it seemed like the entire world was coming apart around me, and I just shut down. I know it was the wrong thing to do, it was a selfish thing to do, but its what I did and I hope that those of you who have had to be so patient with me the last several months will give me another chance. I am feeling much better now, and as I said this is what I love to do.
