My neighbor passed away from Covid, 69 years old. I have a friend from high school, no underlying conditions, who can’t walk from the living room to the kitchen without getting winded. Another woman I went to school with has heart issues from Covid. I wonder what the long term effects are going to be for people because there are significant numbers of people with long term effects.
The average life expectancy in The US is 78. --The average age of a Kung Flu death is between 80 and 81in The US. ---Common sense would tell you that this just is not a big deal in The US.
Maybe... but that is not what I am seeing and hearing in San Diego. Maybe the severity does have a lot to do with Vitamin D. Outside of the high risk... it has been mostly asymptomatic or flu. For the people I know it was about 50% not having any idea they had it... the other half ran the gamut of flu... light to heavy. Mostly I heard from them loss of smell and flu for 3 to 7 days. Not happy about... but still the flu. So it would be nice if we got real stats from the SOBs who keep track of this.. don't you think. Like... where is it spreading. How is it spreading Who spreads it the most... etc... And something I would really like to know.. because this almost has to be why hospital workers have not all been destroyed... does... the severity of the case... also have a correlation to how long you were exposed and how sick the person was who was shedding virus onto you? exposure?
freedie... continuing the mushroom bullshit lefties are fed and believe... who needs science and data when you can blame people?
Look up in the search engine the phrase "Long Haulers". These are survivors of Covid-19 that are having lingering side effects...so far...for many...they are long term effects. So far, disability insurance doesn't cover such and its something that Congress will need to fix because many of these people can not return back to work if there was work for them. This is a critical issue because many people taut that low % number of deaths but don't realize we have millions of people that have survived and hundreds of thousands of people with these long hauler side effects. I know someone that was infected with Covid-19 and never required hospitalization. That was the 2nd week of the Pandemic and he's 45 years old...triathlon athlete. It's now December and he still struggles to catch his breath just to walk around the block. Obviously there's damage to his lungs or some other type of lingering respiratory problems. Luckily for him he's here in Canada and the government gave him "disability"...that'll help him a lot until he's able to literally walk around the block without feeling like he's going to pass out from lack of Oxygen. Most recover just fine but there's a small percentage of people still struggling with debilitating side effects. wrbtrader
Lock-downs and masks have not stopped the spread of Kung Flu. There are a lot of slow learners on The Left.
