Rand Paul: "Government Jobs account for 95% of Job Growth"

  1. Even with our crushing 13 trillion dollar debt and nearly 2 trillion dollar projected deficit, the Obama Administration’s only jobs program still continues to be fleecing taxpayers though the creation of more government jobs. In May, nearly 95% of new jobs – over 400,000 – were from the federal government. Most of them were temporary Census jobs.

The Obama administration’s failure to stimulate the economy continues. And their thirst for more power for government remains unquenched.

It’s time Washington DC stopped spending money we don’t have. And it’s time for real economic stimulus plans, including tax incentives and sound monetary policy. The government does not create jobs, as the past 18 months have clearly reminded us. But they can help by getting out of the way of those who do.
