Ok so it is. Ever heard of going to where the people are. In this case young people. Shocking though for a President, of this or any other country, to want to influence public opinion. It must be a fiiiirst.
He has a problem with his approval rating. It's directly related to the policies he put in place. Anyone who gets their news from TikTok is a low information voter. When you target that demographic, that says something about what you accomplished... Believing that the less people know about what you did, the better your chances of reelection...
Influencing public opinion is not new. The white house hiring tik tok'ers to spread news is. And yes it is shocking to see him so disconnected from voters he needs to hire people in social media.
LOL what nonsense. Every candidate tries at least to get out the young voter. To influence, and maybe convert them to be long time voter of their party and of them. Older folks are for the most part jaded in their viewpoint. From the sound of things you fit that latter profile.
Oh ya mean he should instead been tweeting bitch statements out at 2am while munching on his 8th Big Mac on the day? Last time I looked Twitter is social media. President Obama gets "credit" for, up till that point, the highest ever fundraising of small donors .... online. Need to get over this hangup. Its called ....... the wave of the future. We're not in Kansas anymore. Shocking.
Influence voters as Biden did during the 2020 election where he blatantly lied about Hunter's actual laptop as being Russian misinformation (which even the NYT now admits they were wrong to cover up the story)? And no, older Americans are not necessarily jaded in their viewpoint, many although not all are simply better informed and know better. For example, unlike a lot of millennials, they know that the world is a hell of a lot less systemically racist than it used to be and ideas that appeal to broke, indebted millennials such as communism have failed horribly every time and everywhere it was tried. I'd rather have a guy in office that does the right things and says the wrong things than the opposite. Immigration, war in Afghanistan, inflation, mandates, energy policy, everything the admin does has turned out to be a horrible failure. Biden criticized Trump for being the worst president ever. Well, now he has a lower approval rating. Turns out that people care a lot more about inflation and national security than tweets after all. https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...less-popular-than-trump/6828413001/?gnt-cfr=1 The fact that you can't talk about anything good Biden has actually done and still focus on a guy who has been out of office for a long time highlights his policy problems.
