One thing that struck me through the election was; Obama made sure his kids went to school. They missed only 2 days of school in the entire 2 years of his campaign. Missed ONLY 2 DAYS! that is amazing. Now contrast with aPalin. Her teenage daughter with bastard child was with momma till she was too heavy. Her youngest was traipsing around with a $750 vitton handbag. NO SCHOOL for aPalin's kids! Amazing contrast. This should tell you about their core values. This should give you an insight into the future Obama presidency. He is MUCH MORE conservative than he lets on. This mandatory civilian force is much needed in todays american society. His primary target is the black youth. Since he can not make it mandatory only for the blacks, he has to make it mandatory for all kids. These children are useless with no values. When a teacher tells them to pull up their pants, they shoot the teacher. Some of these deal drugs IN the classroom. Give Obama time. He is a mutant. He is not ideological like the Hildebeast or Dumbya. He will do what is right. Regardless of what the left or the right whine about. He is going to create a meritocracy. Merit alone will dictate where you end up in his administration. No more "Brownie" and none of the Lobbyist garbage driving around in D.C. Americans should count their blessings to have someone like Obama leading them at this time of unmitigated peril.
Some high hopes. If he even achieves part of what you expect he will be one coolest guys in history of the u.s. I am just hoping he can somehow find a way to avert depression and put us on the road to a balanced budget in 4 years.
Its a little different when the Mother is on the campaign. Obama is a cultural freak. he does not buy his children Birthday or Christmas gifts. Obama did not grow up with the same cultural experience as most children. He has the most un-American upbringing of any President ever. Obama never took part in any American holidays, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Cultural, Obama is just like a foriegner
I hope he goes through with it, as it will lead to an enormous backlash in '12. He can kiss the "youth vote" goodbye once he starts forcing them into taking a year or two out of their lives to do something they don't want to do. Obama will become the caricature of what McCain is considered to be now - stodgy, old-fashioned, authoritarian. The kids will be yearning for the good old days when they could choose to join the military or the Peace Corps. Once millions of slackers have been forced to go through basic training having to survive without iPods, iPhones, MySpace, Facebook, and Guitar Hero, the collective whine will be heard to Canada (where many, by the way, will make hasty tracks for. Maybe they'll knock on Thunderdog's door and ask for sanctuary ).
Do you have EVIDENCE against him or is it your wish? Rahm is a very gifted individual and very intelligent. The fact that he has strong ties with Israel is also a good thing as he will explain clearly to Obama why an Israeli state came into being, what is anti-semitism and its history... Hopefully, one day Israel will be in peace with its neighbours.
