The simple truth of the matter is that it isn't a problem with not high enough taxes. It's a problem with way too much spending.

Doing nothing on this problem and insisting that the Bush tax cuts expire at the end of 2012 will doom the Democrats to massive losses in the 2012 elections.

I have a question for you and you socialist friends AK.
Why cant you cut fed salaries and retirment benefits instead of cutting ours.

Why the fuck does the govt have to raise taxes when they can reduce spending.

    Whose money is it.

Do I really need to be paying all these govt consultants 150 grand a year.

Shouldn't we be means testing everyone.
Shouldn't we be phasing down benefits to force people to get jobs.
Should everyone working in D.C. really be averaging six figures.

Do we need a failed dept of eduation
Can't we pull troops home from all over the world.
Cant we dump the 600 billion in duplicate programs.

Cut the fricken govt by 30 percent.

Then talk to us about a sane tax structure.
Who the fuck are you to tell us we need more Feds making 6 figures.
Cut their fricken salaries... not ours.

    Excellent post.

I have no problem paying extra taxes as long as the government is efficient. But don't start there. Start with making the government efficient first.

  9. Did I say I supported a 50 % tax increase ? I said I supported a 50-50 approach to balancing the budget

I support bringing back Clinton tax rates and I have no problems paying the tax rate I did under Clinton
