Why does quotetrader install the esignal dataserver? I installed quotetrader but could not connect. I have java 1.602 and ib tws 875 installed and running.
Hi Just21, Thank you for your post. The eSignal Data Manager is installed with QuoteTrader, and provides access to QuoteTrader, as well as cooperation with installations of eSignal. For new clients, once you've registered for QuoteTrader, you'll receive a Welcome email. At the bottom of that email is a link, that when clicked, activates your account. If you're a new QT client, let me know if you've received that email, and if you've clicked the activation link at the bottom. I signed up and tried to run quote trader, every time it would give me invalid user/pass error. Tried few times to reinstall on different machines, all in vain, when contacted their customer support, got an answer that it should be working, it didn't, i even had screenshots with errors emailed to them but unfortunately they dropped the ball in the end and I gave up...
