Thanks for the reply, that kind of leaves me stumped. Says it can not log in. Maybe something external is blocking it. Only thing I can think of is virus protection. I will give that a try, any other ideas? Thanks for your help.
what exactly is giving you the message?Quotetracker or TWS? If Quotetracker, then it means that either TWS doesn't have API access enabled, or is using a nonstandard port
I checked to see that everything was set right on TWS and it was but still no log on from QT. That go me thinking and I checked the Ver. of TWS and remembered the I use the desktop standalone ver. of TWS and it does not update automatic. So I downloaded the latest ver. of TWS and now appears to be working. Wish they had auto update. Thanks for your help and time.
Three QT indicators that I find very useful are the candle countdown timer, the pace indicator, and projected volume. Is anyone aware of any other charting platforms that have these capabilities? Thanks.
I am using QT with TDA and IQ feed and since last thursday the indicies charts will not intraday backfill anymore. All the "stock" charts backfill fine. Anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Thanks
@college ruled - "QuoteTracker" refers to the Quotetracker software: http://www.quotetracker.com @candle7779 - stop spamming
jfb where do I find these indicators in QT? Looked for them today and couldn't find them. Appreciate the info, thanks Tuk
The pace indicator and candle countdown are under the View menu when you right click on a chart. You can set the parameters for the pace indicator. The only way I know of to change the parameters is to first hide the indicator, then show it again to get the parameters box. To show projected volume, edit the parameters for your Volume indicator. "Show Projected" is a checkbox option. It calculates and shows what the projected volume will be for the current candle if the current rate of volume were to continue for the entire candle period. It is least accurate at the beginning of the candle and becomes more accurate as the candle period progresses.
