Jerry, thanks for your quick (as usual) response to my question on 3.9.9, and yes that is what the build was. Apparently Ameritrade sent me a link to that update back in April when there were backfill problems with IB.

Anyway, I downloaded the patch on page 79, followed the instructions on page 74 and voila 3.9.8a appeared. It's working perfectly today (but you knew that).

Again thanks so much, been enjoying QT for at least 10 years so far.

If I were to transfer the QT folder over to another computer via CD disk, or flash drive, or ethernet cable, whatever, would all the accumulated data on my charts transfer over as well? Or would the charts be a blank slate and have to start accumulating data all over again? I currently don't have a backfill source so I would have to let time create a new chart, unless the charts transfer over as well.

  3. if you transfer the entire folder, including sub-folders, all the data will be there.

  6. The symbol would be different for each datafeed. Not all support it, and some of the ones that do will have an extra subscription for it. Which datafeed are you using?

  7. I am using IB . Subscription says : Russell indices (NP)

  8. Assuming you are subscribed, the symbol is CBOE:$RUT

NOTE: the symbol is already in QT's built in index panel, so you should select it there instead of adding to the portfolio. Having it selected in both places will cause problems.

  9. I have selected from the index panel by going there - edit indices

    no prices

  10. check to see if that index is real-time in TWS, and that the symbol is RUT and exchange that you are checking is CBOE
