Is there a way to stop all quotes globally in QT (stopping multiple portfolios at once)? Bit of a pain to go to each portfolio window and press the 'Manual' button.
hi, I use quotetracker before, and i think it is a good chart tools. recently i get a new email from TD Ameritrade say that "effective September 4, 2012, trading through QuoteTracker will be limited to TD Ameritrade clients". what's that mean? can i still use quotetracker by using other data feed like iqfeed? or will not use quotetracker unless i become their client?
I received that email as well. It is somewhat perplexing. I never traded through QT, only used the charting. But I think it has been explained that unless you have an account with TDA, the program will no longer work if you still use a "registered" copy. So, un-register it.
thanks jerry, that's a good news for me¡£ I like the PB and some indicate in QT, that make the trading become easy
Dear Jerry Whay is a patched version? I have attached the patch by the link you gave for backfill. Is this the patched version? Thanks
Jerry, what about QT version 3.9.9? I do not have an Ameritrade account and use the IB data feed. Should QT still work after Sept 3?
there is no 3.9.9 that I know of. Did you mean 3.9.8? If so, that is the regular TDA version and if they do something to restrict it to TDA clients only, then you will be impacted by that. You would want to get the patched version posted here, that fixes the backfill. It also disables all "call home" functionality, and thus any ability to change it's functionality by TDA.
I continue to use Windows XP. Perhaps in the future I purchase a new computer. I assume that beginning Tuesday, Sept 4, QT will no longer be able to be downloaded from the QT website, unless you are an active TDA customer. Can I load my 3.9.8a QT program from my computer to a CD disk? And then load it on to a new computer from that disk? Also, is the 3.9.8a patch just a few files or some such thing? Or is it the full program which includes the patch? In other words, can I purchase a new computer, download the patch, and thus have a full working copy of QT on the new computer? So two questions.
