Criminal for them to abandon QT. How much could it possibly cost to simply maintain it from a feed standpoint? They could pay Medved some nominal sum to do that , and not piss off hundreds or thousands of traders who use the platform.
I understand TDA wants to shut down QuoteTracker as a matter of principle... so that QT doesn't compete with their newly acquired ThinkOrSwim platfrom, in the further development of which TDA is going to invest big.
I use volatility stops religiously and QT is the only one I've found that can easily and simply chart them with visual simplicity like no other I've found. I'm use to it, I like it, and I hate parting with such a great app.
Just my opinion and it's not worth 2 cents, but thinkorswim is absolute garbage compared to QT. It mesmerizes the inexperienced retail guys with bells and whistles that are just not needed. It's overally complex and visually crap.
Exactly! The chart shows ATR (over specified number of bars) multiplied by a user-defined constant. Is it the kind of stop, you are saying, is not found in other platforms?
Probably my bad but I haven't looked very hard for "Chandlier". I know it best as a vstop, and I have found other charts using it, but not as an integrated chart with my TD account. I have a feeling I'm going to have to adjust in the near future so I'll have to do more due diligence in finding a package with this indicator. What charting package are you using?
